Almost 6 months ago (March 27, 2014) I had my first meeting with Dr. Paul Baker at Baker Chiropractic and Wellness.
My symptoms were tingling and numbness in both hands and a chronically sore neck that prevented me from turning my head without pain.
May I add that I am 66 years old, in good health and am a daily athlete working-out, doing swimming, biking , running and participating in long distance triathlons and marathons.
I also work daily as a carpenter in all weather conditions throughout the year.
My fear was that my tingling hands (carpal tunnel) would prevent me from working with my hands but also keep me from riding my bike (NOT good !).
Dr. Paul assured that he would not only treat my hands but also correct a serious stenosis in my spine, improve the curvature in my neck and the slump in my shoulders and if I paid attention to the videos in his office; improve my diet.
Within a month of thrice weekly treatment I felt better. After 2 months, my numbness had subsided by 80%. By the end of 3 months, numbness was GONE.
I have continued to see Dr. Paul Baker on a twice a week basis simply because it improves the QUALITY of my life.
I stand taller, run straighter, bike more comfortably (and faster, I have set a few personal records this race season ) and my overall general health is not just good but EXCELLENT.
I would recommend to anyone to adopt a lifestyle that includes the ‘3 M’s’
– Movement through daily exercise
– Moderation in food and drink consumption
– Manipulation (spinal adjustments) by a chiropractor.
On a closing note, I must say that I have witnessed Dr. Paul take a personal interest in his patients through humor, empathy and sincere regard for their well being that surpasses ANY health care professional that I have ever encountered.
